Charter airline in $50m Irish venture
29 October 2006Charter airline Excel Airways last week officially added its name to the growing number of airlines vying for space in Irelandâ??s skies.
The firm is investing US$50 million (â?¬39.4 million) in its Irish venture, including a new Boeing 737 aircraft, and will begin flying next summer. As well as selling seats directly to tour operators, the airline will fly from Cork and Dublin to destinations expected to include Spain, Portugal, Greece and Bulgaria.
